The U.S. generates an average of 25 billion pounds of textiles per year. That’s about 82 pounds per U.S. resident. Of that 82 pounds, 15% gets donated or recycled and 85% goes to our landfills.
— The Council for Textile Recycling

We've created a product line made of 100% upcycled textiles that would otherwise be thrown into landfills.

Our commitment to sustainability starts with the product we make in our studio.  Locals know that we love turning unwanted clothing into everyday staples, and they often leave bags of cast away clothing on our doorstep. Items are sorted and reclaimed for blankets, backpacks, skirts, children's toys or new sweaters.

All of the donated clothes we use are washed first. Wool sweaters are felted by washing in the washing machine and then are set aside to be cut on the die cutter for blankets. Any sweaters or parts of sweaters that won't work for blankets get cut into loops for potholder rugs.

Jeans are washed, cut, patched if necessary and then sewn into blankets by our talented team of female artisans.

Imagine a world in which all new clothes were made from existing clothing and textiles.
